Our group explored the Torrey Pines Beach picking up shells and rocks, as well as hiking above the cliffs.








We also went to Quail Botanical Gardens in Leucadia. They have recreated botanical setting from all around the world.









At a picnic area adjacent to the botanical gardens, the rest rooms roof were covered in plants.

The historic district at one end of Balboa Park contains several museums and entertainers.












During our visit to San Diego we had to go to the world famous San Diego zoo that was walking distance from our Tiffany's place and our hotel . We saw "Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!"







We stayed at the Balboa Park Inn, a bed and breakfast at the edge of the park.
